Frequently Asked Questions
Your first payment is charged immediately when you subscribe. All future renewals are billed on the 15th of each month. This timing makes sure you’ll already have tracking info (or your box in hand) before we bill you again.
Example: if you join on July 2nd, you’re billed that day, get the July box, then your next rebill is August 15th.

We’ll automatically retry over the next several days. During that time you can:
- Update your card on file
- Add funds
- Contact your bank to approve the charge
If it still doesn’t clear, your subscription will pause until your account is current.
Log into your Barrel & Blade account, go to Billing Settings, and select “Edit” next to your card on file. You can securely add a new card anytime.
Yes. Log into your account, click Manage Subscription, and choose “Skip Next Box.” Your billing date will automatically push forward by one cycle.
You can cancel anytime inside your account. Just make sure you cancel before the 15th — if you cancel after, that cycle has already been billed and you’ll still receive that month’s box as your last shipment. You can also cancel by emailing us at support@barrelandblade.com
All subscriptions are month-to-month, auto-renewing until you cancel. You can also purchase prepaid gift subscriptions that don’t auto-renew.
If you cancel before your rebill date on the 15th, your subscription will end immediately and you will not receive the next month’s box. If you cancel after the 15th, your final box will be the one associated with that billing cycle.
It depends on when you join:
- Orders placed on or before the 3rd at midnight EST: You’re in for the current month’s shipment, which goes out between the 4th–14th.
- Orders placed after the 3rd: You’ll have options:
- Previous Box (if available): We’ll ship one within 10 days.
- Next Box: Wait until the upcoming shipment window (4th–14th of the next month).
- Mystery Box: A one-off surprise curated from past gear and exclusive drops, shipped within 10 days.
- Subscribe on March 2nd → You’ll get the March box.
- Subscribe on March 5th → You’ll be offered the choice of a past box (if available), a mystery box, or wait until the April shipment.
All subscription boxes ship between the 4th–14th. Shipping times vary by location, but most members receive their gear within 2–5 days of pickup by the carrier.
We ship with USPS, UPS, and FedEx depending on box size and destination. Military APO/FPO addresses are supported.
We currently ship to the U.S. (including APO/FPO) and Canada. Any duties or taxes for Canadian deliveries are the responsibility of the customer.
Most delays are due to address errors. Double-check your shipping info in your account. If tracking shows delivered but you don’t have it, check with neighbors or your local post office. Still stuck? Contact us and we’ll help track it down.
Log into your account and update your shipping address before the 3rd of the month to ensure your next box is sent to the right place.
Barrel & Blade is a monthly subscription delivering tactical, survival, and EDC gear. Each box is carefully curated and field-tested — designed for modern patriots who take preparedness seriously.
Because we purchase and assemble gear specifically for our subscriber base each month, we can’t offer refunds once an order has been processed. You can, however, cancel anytime to stop future renewals.
If something arrives broken or not working, email us within 15 days of delivery. We’ll replace it or send a similar item of equal value.
Yes. You can purchase a prepaid, non-renewing gift subscription for a friend or family member.
Yes. If you’ve got an audience that loves tactical gear, survival, or preparedness, reach out and we’ll get you set up with affiliate links and perks.
Each tier is different, but all focus on mission-ready gear that passes our field standards. Product photos are examples only — every month’s loadout changes.
Not always. Here’s how it works:
- Each tier (Recon, Fire Team, etc.) is curated to deliver the best possible gear for that level.
- Sometimes an item will appear across multiple tiers.
- Other times, an item is unique to a specific tier. This means higher tiers don’t automatically include every single item from the tiers below.
Best rule of thumb:
- Read the cards in your box.
- Don’t assume tiers stack.
- Know that we design each level to maximize the value for that tier.
